It's February 27 and we are curently on our way to Nha Trang, Vietnam. Mui Ne was awesome. The second day there we rented bicycles (clearly a safer option for us) and biked along the beach stopping in a few shops along the way. We bought a kite and frisbee and headed to the end of the beach... it was more rocky, but much more secluded. After swimming we pulled out our beach toys. It was so windy the frisbee turned out to be unsuccessful and when we got the kite out the string was about three feet long.... it now makes sense why they were selling spool of string next to the frisbees. Both toys being a flop we walked down the beach to watch the kite surfers.
This is one of the best places to kite surf in the world. You are probaly wondering why we didn't do it then, but it is crazy expensive to rent the equipment add a lesson on top of that would be our budget for a month! But there were tons of people doing it and it was fun to watch. They would get so much air off the waves it was crazy! We spent the rest of the afternoon swimming and biking.
Later that night we ate at a beach side restaurant. It had a phenomenal view of the sunset and we watched the last of the kite surfers finish up for the day. As we were walking down the street we heard live music coming from a restaurant. We decided to go in and have some dessert (flaming bananas... ahhhmazing!) to watch the girls sing. It was two Phillipine girls singing and this old asian man on the keyboard. It was hilarious, but they were awesome! They played tons of songs we knew and as the night went on the more people drank the more they would get into it which created an even better show! Mui Ne was a great place to visit, but we are off to see another new city, one we might love just as much... or more!
