Greetings from Thailand, After our 18 hour journey we have finally arrived at our destination. Airport check in was our first adventure. When entering Thailand apparently you need proof you are leaving the country in the next 30 days and we had nothing to prove we were leaving... Try explaining that to to a non English speaker... lesson learned- smile and nod your head. We began thinking this whole we can be free spirits and go to a foreign country with absolutely no reservations or even a plan may not have been our best idea. But needless to say it all worked out. They fed us non stop on the flight, we may have ate or body weight in food and Mark definitely took advantage of the free booze, he was on a mission to get his money worth! We found a hotel when we arrived and after an interesting taxi ride we made it here. The driver could not speak a lick of English and we can't speak any Thai. We kept pointing to or tablet and showing him the address. This was followed by a laughing attack then panic set in as we rolled up to the hood of Bangkok. The language barrier is definitely giving us a run for our money... trying always to remember patience is essential. Today we are heading to the city center of Bangkok. Another day full of adventures! Cheers!
